Sevilla Bridge Connecting Manila to Mandaluyong Closed to Traffic on Saturday
Residents near Sevilla Bridge, the bridge that connects Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong to P. Sanchez Street in Manila, should expect heavier traffic than usual in the area this coming weekend as it will be closed to traffic from 10 PM of August 10, Saturday, to 10 AM of August 11, Sunday. The reason? Two 180-tonner cranes will be moved as these will be used by the contractor of the Metro Manila Skyway Stage 3--Section 2B to install coping beams for the project.
As such, affected motorists are advised to take alternate routes.
The Metro Manila Skyway Stage 3 is an 18.68-kilometer elevated expressway starting from Buendia in Makati to Balintawak in Quezon City. Once completed, it is expected to reduce travel time from the current two hours to just 15 to 20 minutes.
