Stellar Starex deals and more with Hyundai’s ‘Fast-Forward Drive’ promo

Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), the official distributor of Hyundai passenger cars and commercial vehicles in the country, serves up summer deals for Filipino families with its “Fast-Forward Drive” promo.

HARI offers the South Korean car maker’s iconic family carrier, the Grand Starex, at #ZeroSafeguardTax price with discounts up to P290,000 in total.

Designed and engineered to be a trusted people mover, the Grand Starex has been one of the most popular family carriers, commuter vans, and service vehicles in the Philippines. It has also been the cargo and utility van of choice for many business owners and entrepreneurs making it a versatile vehicle worth investing in.

Locally, the Grand Starex is offered in four variants: 2.5 GL 5M/T, 2.5 CRDi GLS 5A/T, 2.5 CRDi GLS 5A/T (swivel), and 2.5 CRDi GLS 5A/T (urban). The first three are 10-seater models while the last one can accommodate nine.

The 2.5 GL 5M/T variant comes with a 2.5-liter TCI SOHC 8V diesel engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission. On the other hand, the 2.5 CRDi GLS 5A/T and the 2.5 CRDi GLS 5A/T (swivel) variants come with Euro 4-compliant 2.5-liter CRDi VGT DOHC 16V engines while the 2.5 CRDi GLS 5A/T (urban) model comes with a Euro 6-compliant 2.5-liter CRDi VGT DOHC 16V mill — all mated to an H-Matic five-speed automatic transmission.

Across the board, all variants are outfitted with MacPhersons at the front and a rigid axle five-link with coil spring suspension system at the rear. Likewise, all models are equipped with hydraulic power steering (HPS) and a tilt-adjust steering wheel.

All models also come with airbag systems while the 2.5 CRDi GLS 5A/T (swivel) and the 2.5 CRDi GLS 5A/T (urban) variants sport additional safety features like electronic stability program (ESP) and anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake distribution (EBD).

The Grand Starex is offered alongside the Kona and Reina, free of safeguard duty tax.
