Subaru Palm Challenge returns to PH after hiatus

After having its hiatus since 2019, the Subaru Palm Challenge has made its comeback this year.

Last October 28, Motor Image Pilipinas (MIP) held the much-awaited contest wherein five out of the 60 participants were hailed as finalists after withstanding the numerous elimination games hurled against all of them over the course of six hours.

Here are the names of the finalists who competed in the event at the Festival Mall in Alabang, Muntinlupa and don the country’s colors when they contend against participants from Singapore, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam:

• Alex Neblasca Jr.
• Reggie Purugganan
• Joy Paguntalan
• Chrisley Adelan
• Cyrus Corpuz

To note, Purugganan was also one of the finalists in the 2019 edition of the competition. He and the four others will participate in the Tan Chong Car Challenge finals — which is set on November 4-5 in Ngee Ann City, Singapore.

The winner in the meet will bring home an i-L EyeSight variation of the Crosstrek (then known in the country as the XV).

“Philippines, now is the moment to make your mark on history! Extend your wholehearted support to your family and friends who have earned their spot in this qualifying round. Rally behind them as they strive to claim the ultimate prize in Singapore and cement their place in the prestigious hall of champions,” Subaru's distributor in the country said in a statement.
