Suzuki partners with India-based NGO
Suzuki announced that it has struck a partnership with Gujarat Grassroots Innovation Augmentation Network (GIAN), a non-government organization and a research institute based in India that aims to scale up and spawn grassroots innovations and help the development of successful enterprises.

By doing so, we hope to develop products and services that contribute to solving the problems of rural life and revitalizing rural areas, and create new businesses,” Suzuki said in a press release.
The signing ceremony took place on December 20 last year in Ahmedabad. Present was Suzuki Director and Senior Managing Officer Kinji Saito, who commented: “We believe that building a cooperative relationship with GIAN will help us learn more deeply about India. We will develop and provide products and services that are truly needed by people in rural India.”
Prior to the abovementioned partnership, Suzuki has been involved in various initiatives in the country, such as its ¥150 billion investment in EV and battery manufacturing in India and the memorandum of understanding Suzuki signed with the Indian government.
