Suzuki PH opens spare parts warehouse in Cebu

In its bid to further secure timely delivery of parts (especially during critical situations), Suzuki Philippines (SPH) has opened a spare parts warehouse for motorcycle and marine customers in Cebu.

SPH said in a statement that the 450-square-meter facility in Cabancalan, Mandaue City aims to deliver further satisfaction to customers and its dealerships.

According to the company, the aforementioned warehouse will provide “a more reliable service offering” to Suzuki customers in the Visayas Region by enabling quicker parts delivery, enhancing uptime within the current competitive business landscape.

“The Cebu Parts Warehouse also allows us to rebalance part stocks in the Visayas from the central distribution Center in Laguna,” SPH Aftersales Division General Manager Tamotsu Shimizu was quoted as saying.

 “Stock availability is our commitment to our Visayas Dealers; and moving parts closer to our valued customers is a major step to providing more than satisfactory, Suzuki after sales service,” he added.

SPH cited data from Philippine Statistics Authority-Region VII Visayas office, stating that Cebu’s economy is partly driven by wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, which accounted for 25 percent of Cebu’s economy in 2020, or nearly P67 billion.

Further, the facility’s location supports the Suzuki dealerships across the Visayas Region and enables the company to provide all parts needed by motorcycle and marine customers faster, particularly during critical situations.

“With the critical expansion and renovation of the Cebu Parts Warehouse facility, Suzuki could extend its vital service and support to its customers within the region,” SPH noted.

The company added that customers will get to enjoy the Spare Parts Same Day Delivery Program across the Visayas region, especially for those with aftersales warranty concerns. In December 2021, Suzuki piloted the aforementioned program for its motorcycle and automobile dealers located within a 75-kilometer radius of SPH warehouse in Laguna.

Moreover, SPH said that the positioning of its spare parts and facility in the Visayan region is very timely as the domestic motorcycle market slowly recovers “after the ‘deep loss’ in 2020 and the economy faces “the post-pandemic challenges of mobility and social distancing.”
