Top-performing Move It partners to get subsidy for Pag-IBIG contributions

MANILA: Move It’s top-performing partners now get a subsidy for their Pag-IBIG contributions.

Per the motorcycle taxi platform, the said initiative is a way for the company to strengthen its commitment to providing viable livelihoods and social protection for its rider-partners. The newly-launched program marks a landmark step for Move It in making state-sponsored welfare programs more accessible to its affiliates.

To note, Move It’s sister company, Grab, has done a similar move or its top-performing GrabCar and GrabFood driver-partners in the second quarter of 2025.

“Sa patuloy naming pakikipag-usap sa ating mga community leaders at rider-partners, malinaw ang mensahe: higit pa sa patas na kita, mahalaga sa kanila ang magkaroon ng kalayaan at kakayahang pumili ng uri ng social protection na akma sa kanilang pangangailangan at pangarap (in our ongoing conversations with our community leaders and rider-partners, the message is clear: more than just a fair income, it is important for them to have the freedom and ability to choose the type of social protection that fits their needs and dreams),” Move It General Manager Wayne Jacinto said ini a press release.

Program meachanics

According to Move It, its new Pag-IBIG subsidy program is open to rider-partners in Metro Manila, Cebu, and Cagayan de Oro, identified through strict metrics on service quality, safety performance, and productivity.

To avail of the subsidy, drivers must have their Pag-IBIG Membership ID (MID) number linked to their Move It profiles.

They will then have to apply through a dedicated portal within their driver app, which will cross-reference their performance records and uploaded Pag-IBIG Fund membership details.

Once their applications are approved, partners can have access to Pag-IBIG Fund’s full range of financial services — from affordable home financing and short-term loans to its high-yield MP2 savings program — giving thousands of platform workers a pathway to long-term security.

Partner accessibility

Move It and Grab have designated satellite-office spaces for Social Security System, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG Fund at the Asenso Center in Marikina — a hub for onboarding and training programs for current and aspiring driver-partners.

The move ensures that social protection is more accessible for both two-wheel and four-wheel drivers.

In addition, Move It and Grab’s partnership with the abovementioned government agencies also covers “Social Protection 101” courses geared at empowering platform workers to voluntarily contribute to long-term financial security and planning.
