WATCH: Kawasaki Ninja H2R Beats Supercars, F1 Car, and Jets in Drag Race

Kawasaki's supercharged 998cc/310 hp/216 kg Ninja H2R bike is a beast on the road, but no one really new how much of a beast it actually was, until now. In a 1,300-feet long drag race that involved a Red Bull Formula 1 car, a Tesla P100D, an Aston Martin Vantage, a Lotus Evora GT, an F-16 jet fighter, and a Bombardier Challenger 605 private jet, it was the Kawasaki Ninja H2R that came out on top.

The drag race, part of the Teknofest Istanbul event held between September 20 and 23, was held on the Istanbul New Airport (Istanbul Yen Havalimani), set to be the biggest airport in the world when it opens this October. The race itself took place on the landing strips of the brand new international airport. On three parallel runways, the seven vehicles took part in a contest that finally answered the age old question: which is the fastest between a plane, a car, and a bike?

At the helm of the track-ready Kawasaki Ninja H2R was Turkish Supersport World Champion Kenan Sofuoglu. Though Sofuoglu took the lead right from the start to win the race, he managed to do so by only a hair. The Red Bull F1 car driven by Blancpain GT Series' Jake Dennis quickly caught up to the track-only motorcycle until the Kawasaki crossed the finish line a few tenths of a second ahead of the race car. The Solo Turk F-16 nabbed third place, followed by the Tesla P100D driven by Finnish Electric GT racer Emma Kimiläinen.
