Would You Buy a Flying Car for the Price of an SUV?
We would--without any hesitation. With so much traffic happening in all parts of the Philippines, a flying car seems to be extremely attractive right now, isn't it?
Flying vehicles aren't new; in fact, there are so many of them that we've lost count. However, what makes this flying car different from the rest is that buying it is cheap--so cheap it's just like buying a typical SUV.
The newest contender for flying cars is BlackFly craft--and it's touted as the world's first ultralight all-electric vertical take-
"Watching BlackFly take flight just blew me away," said Director of US Experimental Aircraft Association Darren Pleasance. "I've never seen anything like it."
This fully-amphibious, one-seater aicraft has been tried and tested using actual pilots to do the test flights, and they can fly for up to 25 miles (40km) at 62 mph (100 kph).
Aside from price, another huge selling point for Blackfly is that it's easy to use. So easy, in fact, that even regular people with no aviation background can fly it within minutes. What's more, they won't even need to to get a pilot's license to operate it, since the vehicle is operated by a joystick. Still, they will be mandated to take a familiarization course together with a standard written test of FAA Private Pilot licenses.
Opener plans to sell the Blackfly next year.
