Yamaha Motor PH releases all-new Mio Gear S

MANILA: Yamaha Motor Philippines Incorporated (YMPH) has unveiled the all-new Mio Gear S.

In a statement, the Japanese motorcycle marque’s local distributor shared that the automatic transmission motorcycle’s newest version is “designed to support today’s active urban lifestyles through functionality, adaptability, and everyday practicality.”

“As more people integrate movement into their daily lives, from work and fitness to errands, content creation, and social activities, the Mio Gear S adapts seamlessly to changing routines through compact mobility and smart everyday functionality,” YMPH noted.

Here’s what buyers will get with the all-new Yamaha Mio Gear S.

Motorcycle specifications

Amid the compact design, the all-new Yamaha Mio Gear S features a stronger visual presence thanks to its aggressive overall profile. This also complements the following color options that are available on the newly-released offering:

• Ceramic Gray
• Basalt Gray
• Matte Brown

Further, the two-wheeler features a narrow seat design, a back-step that enhances comfort even when carrying larger baggage on the footboard, 12-inch tubeless tires, LED illumination all around, and a 5.1-liter fuel tank.

Yamaha also made sure that the Mio Gear S offers daily urban-centric amenities for convenience and practicality. This includes:

• Digital gauge cluster
• Electric power socket
• 18.6-liter underseat compartment
• Spacious footboard
• Multi-function grab bar
• Cargo hooks

Propelling the Yamaha Mio Gear is a new 125-cubic-centimeter air-cooled Blue Core Hybrid Engine with Smart Motor Generator technology. This mill can dish out:

Maximum output (in horsepower)	8.3
Peak torque (in Newton-meters)	9.9

Further, riders can enjoy quick acceleration thanks to its Electric Power Assist feature despite being fitted with a small-displacement powertrain Additionally, the model also cuts down fuel waste by automatically turning off the engine with its Stop and Start system.

Additionally, the all-new Yamaha Mio Gear S boasts an Answer-Back System, which allows riders to easily locate their motorcycle in crowded parking spaces through remotely-activated light and sound response.

Lastly, the pricing of Yamaha’s updated offering is P81,900.

YMPH said that the all-new Yamaha Mio Gear S is being promoted under the “Play Your Way” campaign platform.

Per the brand’s local arm, the motorcycle “is designed for people constantly in motion.”

“As active urban lifestyles continue to rise, movement has become more than just exercise or recreation. It has become part of daily routine and modern city living. Recognizing this shift, Yamaha positions the Mio Gear S as a motorcycle built to support the rhythm of everyday movement through functionality and adaptability,” it explained.

“Play Your Way is about empowering people to move through life on their own terms. Today’s generation no longer follows a single routine or lifestyle. The Mio Gear S was built to adapt naturally to that kind of movement while maintaining the active functionality the product has always been known for.”

Notably, the all-new Yamaha Mio Gear S was launched through the immersive “Play Lab” experience—transforming the product reveal into a lifestyle-driven experience.

“The all-new Mio Gear S continues to embody Yamaha’s signature practicality and durability, offering features tailored for modern mobility.
