“For me, I’m just looking for time to get the pole for the last turn. That last turn was crazy, all the riders were in the slipstream. For Round 2 in Malaysia, I will give my best again for the country,” Mascardo said after finishing the first round held at Chang International Circuit in Buriram, Thailand.

“After the start. I was really feeling that I could make it. I was going strong for four laps but had trouble with my bike. In Malaysia, I will still give my best to be part of the top 10,” Mauricio noted.

For the first round, Mascardo is 7th in the overall standings and leads the Filipino riders for the second round.

The next race will be held on May 28-29 at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia.
