Yamaha Motor Philippines, Inc. (YMPH) extended its WR family in the country with the WR 155R bike, designed to meet rider's needs on both asphalt and dirt roads.

The Yamaha WR155R is the third model unveiled via online introduction, following the Yamaha XSR 155 launch and the Yamaha NMax.

To those who do not know yet, the term WR means that the motorcycle has a wide gear ratio—making it perfect for trail rides.

Powering this dual sport ride is a six-speed 155cc liquid-cooled fuel-injected engine with VVA optimizing performance at both low and high speeds for power and control in every road condition.

Riders can enjoy dual-purpose aluminum rims and tires to ensure that any terrain can be conquered.

Giving it a modern look is the compact LCD instrument panel that shows a tachometer, speedometer, odometer, tripmeter, fuel gauge, clock, fuel mileage, gear position indicator, and VVA indicator.

The Yamaha WR155R is fitted with an 8.1-liter fuel tank, engineered slim for better balance while the large capacity makes it suitable for long rides.

To enhance comfort and performance, there's a 41 mm upright front fork with coil springs and dampers for the front suspension. Meanwhile, the linked type Monocross rear suspension produces a softer spring rate and excellent damping. Its gas-charged absorber delivers consistency during long periods of riding.

The lightweight design of the WR155R is complemented by the semi double cradle frame to give riders excellent balance, rigidity, and stable handling.

Aside from that, the wave-style disc brake gives sufficient stopping power on both ends of the motorcycle. The surface design of the edges allows the brake pads more grip on the discs.

Available in two color variations, Yamaha Blue and Yamaha Black, the Yamaha WR155R has a retail price of P169,000 and is available at the Yamaha Flagship Shop the YZone, and Yamaha Rev Zones around the country.
