About Abarth Philippines

A brand with a rich history, Abarth has been the manufacturer of innovations ever since its arrival. The founder of the company, Carlo Abarth had always had a thing for these machines, proof of which he gave at the age of 11 already. One of his very first innovations were covering the wooden wheels of his scooter with a leather belt to generate improved acceleration and win against the older children in his neighborhood.

Thanks to the forefather of Abarth, performance, speed, and motoring has been into the company’s DNA ever since it developed its performance of two and four wheels. Interestingly, in an amazing challenge held by Abarth’s motorbike and side-car, it was successful in beating the Orient Express train, by taking up to the speed of 850 miles.

After developing an immense career around its two and four-wheeled racing, the company developed its niche around building consumer-based cars with their first-ever production of the 204 A Roadster, based on the FIAT 1100. The brand was later renamed as Abarth & C with Guido Scagliarini in 1949. After the success of their first offering, it was only a matter of years when Abarth & C. turned their 375 employees unit to manufacture 300,000 exhaust systems a year.

Fast forward to the present, Abarth has made quite a name in the world stage, thanks to the unique DNA it has maintained throughout its time. The products under its lineup are a synonym for its performance, handling, and a sporty appeal. The brand’s logo is represented by a scorpion that stands for uniqueness in the automobile segment.
