Inside, the Bentley Bentayga is equipped with a fluted seat design with a five seat configuration and 16-way electric heated front seats with memory function, which offer class-leading comfort to all passengers. The exterior of the Bentley Bentayga is defined by a combination of curves, vertical lines, and cut-crystal lighting, flaunting a look that balances elegance and muscle. Common to all Bentayga variants is the brand’s signature grille: gloss black radiator matrix for the base and Speed variants, while bright chrome for the Azure and Atelier Edition variants. Similar to other Bentley vehicles, this SUV is also given full LED matrix headlamps with high beam assist as well as supplementary lamps, which give it a crystalline gaze on the road. 

Walking around this car, its Bentley ‘B’ wing vents will definitely catch your attention. For a more designer-themed look, the Atelier Edition variant gets Tungsten satin wing vents which display the words ‘Atelier Edition.’ It also has powerfold mirrors with heating, dimming, and memory functions. At the back, it has LED tail lamps which look very similar to the Continental GT’s. 

The base variant runs on a robust set of 21-inch painted multi-spoke wheels, while other variants are given 22-inch alloy wheels, which bear their respective identities.

In terms of dimensions, V6 hybrid powertrain and base V8 engine-powered variants are both 5,125 mm in length and 2,222 mm in width (including mirrors). Meanwhile, the high-powered V8 engine-powered variant is 5,144 mm in length and has the same width (2,222 mm) as the two others. The base and high-powered V8 variants are both 1,728 mm in height, while the V6 variant is 1,770 mm. All variants have a 2,995 mm wheelbase.

Similar to its siblings, the Bentley Bentayga utilizes an air suspension system with continuous damping control. You’ll have a relatively comfortable cruising experience courtesy of this suspension setup since it allows you to have good handling and responsive steering even on sharp turns. However, this SUV tends to be a little bouncy and shaky when passing through bumpy roads and/or roads with deep potholes. 

Overall, the Bentayga is still adaptable on different kinds of road thanks to its four different drive modes and four additional responsive off-road settings (exclusive to the V8 versions of the base and Azure variants). 

The Bentley Bentayga offers three engine options. First, a 3.0L V6 TFSi engine combined with a 100 kW electric motor, which produces a maximum combined system power output of 462 PS, a maximum combined system torque of 700 Nm, and has a driving range of 715 km and an E-range of 45 km.

Second, a 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces a maximum power output of 550 PS, a maximum torque of 770 Nm, and has a total driving range (EU WLTP) of 654 km. Third, a high-powered 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces a maximum power output of 650 PS, a maximum torque of 850 Nm, and has a total driving range (EU WLTP) of 649 km. 

All variants run on 8-speed automatic transmission and a permanent all-wheel drive with 40:60 front-to-rear torque split system. This luxury SUV has exceptional power among its class. It runs great on highways and even urban city roads. Although the plug-in hybrid (V6) has the best fuel economy among the three, its electric range of only 45 km is unfortunately a downside. Hence, if you are planning to use this as a daily vehicle, you might want to manage your budgeting ahead of time. 

The Bentley Bentayga is equipped with many technology and driver assistance features, connected car services, as well as standard safety and security features. Its driver assistance features include an intelligent parking assist, 3D surround view, maneuver assist, traffic sign recognition, hill descent function, Bentley’s ‘Safeguard Plus’, and adaptive cruise control to name a few.
