Honda Civic Overview
At some point in your life, you’ve probably heard someone say that their dream car is a Honda Civic–or maybe you yourself have an interest in this iconic vehicle. Well, I am thrilled to tell you that the newest Honda Civic is worth dreaming about. Although the recent model had a facelift, it still has its predecessors’ timeless appearance and exciting engine and performance. This time, it also made a switch to more eco-friendly driving with the release of its RS e:HEV top variant. The 2025 Honda Civic is available in three variants - V Turbo CVT, RS Turbo CVT, and the aforementioned RS e:HEV. The base variant is priced at ₱1.600 million, while the mid variant is at ₱1.790 million. Meanwhile, the top variant is priced at ₱1.990 million.

Honda Civic Interior
Stepping inside the 2025 Honda Civic, you will definitely notice its sporty black with honeycomb-patterned interior design, which is minimalistic but offers a classy feeling overall. The abundance of soft-touch materials inside a car that has a predominantly-aggressive demeanor is praiseworthy. The seats of the top and mid variants are designed with black leather with suede upholstery, while the base variant is fabric. The latest model is equipped with power windows and power and speed sensing door locks. It also has bottle and cup holders all-around, providing enough storage for all passengers. Its interior also has ambient lighting. Drivers of the RS e:HEV and the RS Turbo CVT get a 10.2-inch full digital display for an instrument cluster that provides him or her with important information such as range and fuel, speed and time, maintenance, and warnings among others. Meanwhile, drivers of the base variant get a 7-inch digital display with analog speedometer.
In terms of technology, all variants are equipped with a 9-inch touchscreen audio system that offers wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto for the top and mid variants, while wired versions for the base variant. The infotainment system is linked to a premium Bose 12-speaker sound system for the top and mid variants, while an 8-speaker sound system for the base. It is also important to note that the latest model’s infotainment system has a new and improved interface. These features show us why Gen Z car enthusiasts fancy the newer generation Honda Civic models.

Honda Civic Exterior
The 2025 Honda Civic underwent some changes with its exterior. As previously mentioned, it had a facelift, which is the most noticeable modification in this model. In addition to this, it also sports upper and lower grilles that have a more chiseled look. And, now, the top variant, the RS e:HEV is equipped with several blacked-out features, all of which give the newest model a more premium sporty look that older and younger car enthusiasts will definitely admire.
The RS e:HEV sports black-painted grilles, side mirrors, and mags, and like the RS Turbo CVT, it has a high gloss black spoiler at the back. Honda beautifully meshed the Civic line’s classic appearance with sporty features that have a more modern touch in this model.
Aside from these, all three variants are equipped with LED headlights, DRLs, and taillamps. The base variant has a bulb type high mount stop lamp, while the mid and top variants have LED. Its side turn signals are door mirror integrated. And, on top, we have an aggressive-looking shark fin antenna for all variants.
In terms of wheels, the top and mid variants are equipped with 18-inch wheels: exclusive matte gray alloy for the RS e:HEV, while matte black alloy for the RS Turbo CVT. On the other hand, the base variant, V Turbo CVT, has 17-inch alloy wheels. The 2025 Honda Civic is 4,681 mm in length, 1,802 mm in width, and 1,415 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,735 mm and a ground clearance of 134 mm.

Honda Civic Ride & Handling
The 2025 Honda Civic is equipped with a suspension combination of a MacPherson strut at the front, while a multi-link at the rear. This combination enables the vehicle to move lightly and, at the same time, become robust enough to withstand rough conditions on urban roads. Consequently, you will not only enjoy the power that the engine of this car gives, but also the comfort that is provided by its suspension system.
-
Honda Civic Engine & Fuel Consumption
The base and mid variants are powered by a 4-cylinder, VTEC turbo engine that produces a maximum power of 131 PS and a maximum torque of 240 Nm. Meanwhile, the top variant is powered by a 2.0 e:HEV engine that produces a maximum power output of 104 PS and a maximum torque of 182 Nm. The top variant is also equipped with a lithium-ion battery. The base and mid variants run on Honda’s continuously variable transmission (CVT), while the top variant runs on its electric counterpart (eCVT). All three utilize a front wheel drive system.
Performance-wise, all variants can offer a smooth driving experience on city roads. This model is very light and has great handling and responsive steering. Additionally, its newest RS e:HEV has great fuel efficiency, offering more sustainable and hassle-free trips with loved ones. This is one of the reasons why the Honda Civic truly “drives like a dream.”
-
Honda Civic Braking & Safety
Safety is not an issue for the 2025 Honda Civic as it is equipped with multiple safety and security features and the brand’s Honda Sensing. That said, this car has adaptive cruise control, low speed follow, road departure mitigation, lane departure warning, auto high beam, lead car departure notification, and systems for lane keeping and collision mitigation braking. However, unlike its competitors, it does not have a 360-degree camera for all-around visibility–which is quite a bummer for an expensive sedan. In terms of braking, it uses a ventilated disc at the front and a normal disc at the rear.

Honda Civic Verdict
You will definitely get your money’s worth with the 2025 Honda Civic. It is equipped with a stylish exterior design and state-of-the-art technological and safety features, all of which are highly-appealing for many young and old car enthusiasts alike. Its only downside is that it is priced higher compared to its direct competitors.
