Driving the Isuzu D-Max Boondock was a pleasant surprise. The best thing about this vehicle is the nitrogen shock absorbers that have raised the ground clearance by 247mm. And armed with 4x4 capability, the Boondock can tread every inhospitable road like a knife through cheese. But the higher ground clearance has compromised the cabin headroom. But I’m sure, those wanting off-road touring, won’t mind that. The increased ground clearance means that you’ll require a bit more effort to turn the vehicle around corners on city roads. The 3.0-litre engine is efficient and you won’t need the 6th gear before hitting the highway.
