JAC T8 Pro

Upon entering the JAC T8 Pro, you’ll be surprised by how refined its cabin looks and feels. Upfront, you have soft-touch materials and premium-looking aluminum mesh finishes. Its leather seats with a sporty red stitching are not the plushiest in its segment, but still offer great cushioning and ergonomics for everyone on board. The JAC T8 Pro’s design exudes a mix of boldness and elegance wherever it goes. It has a confident-looking front end accentuated by a huge black grille, which displays the JAC lettering. It has an assertive glare courtesy of its angular LED headlamps with DRLs. On the sides, it has a rugged profile enhanced by muscular fenders and stepboards for easier ingress and egress.  

Its modern, macho personality carries over to its rear. Its tail lights resemble that of other new-gen mid-size pickup trucks as well. It features a black SMC roll bar, which enhances its sporty personality. For easier and safer loading and unloading of cargo, this truck comes with a rear step bumper, four tub cargo tie-down hooks, and a protective bedliner. In terms of dimensions, the JAC T8 Pro measures 5,325 mm in length, 1,880 mm in width, and 1,830 mm in height. This pickup truck has a 3,090-mm wheelbase and a 210-mm minimum ground clearance. It offers a generous 900-kg payload capacity and runs on 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels.

The JAC T8 Pro utilizes a suspension combination of a Double Wishbone independent-type with Coil Spring at the front, while a Rigid Axle at the rear. Admittedly, its setup is a little bit on the stiffer side of things. Consequently, body rolls are quite noticeable when you are passing through bumpy roads or hitting sharp corners at high speeds. But, on the plus side, it handles well for its size and is still pretty maneuverable even in tight traffic conditions. 

The JAC T8 Pro is powered by a 2L turbocharged diesel engine that produces a maximum power output of 137 hp and a maximum torque of 320 Nm. The engine comes mated to a six-speed manual transmission system and a two-wheel drive system. 

The T8 Pro might not be the most powerful or torquiest in its class, but it has more than enough to allow you to effectively overtake slower vehicles on free-flowing highways. Off the line, its engine still delivers a nice punch. It also offers a good fuel economy both in the city and on the highway. In terms of sound insulation, you’ll still hear some engine and road noises, especially at high speeds. However, these won’t significantly disrupt your riding experience inside.

The JAC T8 Pro comes with cruise control, tire pressure monitoring system, dual front airbags, seatbelts, an automatic door lock, remote central locking, an engine immobilizer, and a reversing camera among others. It utilizes discs for both front and rear braking. Its braking setup is supported by an anti-lock braking system, electronic brakeforce distribution, electronic stability program, hydraulic brake assist, traction control system, and a brake override system.
