Inside, the Jetour T1 Lightning i-DM features a plush, modern cabin fitted with a blend of soft-touch materials and high-tech features. Up front, the driver gets a 10.25-inch full-LCD instrument display, a multi-control steering wheel wrapped in leather, and an elegant crystal gear knob.

For entertainment and information accessibility, this plug-in hybrid SUV comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon-supported 15.6-inch center LCD display that is equipped with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, a voice control feature, and is linked to a 9-speaker Sony sound system, contributing to its immersive riding experience.

Aside from that, the first row is a very nice place to be in, while the second row provides three adult passengers with adequate headroom and legroom. At the back, it also offers an expansive trunk space for your groceries and luggage. In terms of comfort, its leather seats are plush and just hug your body so delicately. And, for added functionality and convenience, this SUV comes with four USB/Type-C ports (front: 2, rear: 2), two 12V power connectors (front and trunk), boot storage boxes, and a wireless charger for your mobile phone. 

All things considered, the T1 Lightning i-DM’s cabin is truly well-rounded, offering a mix of premium comfort, modern functionality, everyday practicality, and aesthetics, thanks to its panoramic sunroof and ambient lighting system.

The Jetour T1 Lightning i-DM’s design strikes a balance between modernity and classic ruggedness, reminiscent of the boxy off-road SUVs of the past. Unlike its larger sibling, the T2 Lightning i-DM, which displays the “JETOUR” lettering on its front grille, the T1 features a pixel-themed light strip on its grille, giving it a more distinctive appearance on the road. Its bold-looking fascia is flanked by LED “Cloverleaf” automatic headlamps with futuristic-looking LED daytime running lights (DRLs). It also gets LED fog lights for enhanced visibility, especially at night. And, underneath, it is fitted with a robust, blacked-out bumper.

On the sides, it features a brash-looking boxy profile, accentuated by prominent wheel arches, bulged side sills and blacked-out pillars. This SUV is equipped with electrically-adjustable and folding mirrors with integrated signal lights. Additionally, both trims get step boards (retractable for the Panther trim) for safer and more convenient ingress and egress. The Panther trim is also fitted with a side ladder designed to support outdoor and overlanding activities. The T1 Lightning i-DM model line runs on 19-inch wheels. 

Meanwhile, its modern-rugged styling extends to the rear, highlighted by its chunky, blacked-out rear bumper and boxy Cloverleaf LED tail lamps. This SUV also features a power tailgate with a memory function for both enhanced passenger convenience and a more modern touch. 

In terms of dimensions, both trims of the Jetour T1 Lightning i-DM measure 4,705 mm in length, 1,967 mm in width, 1,843 mm in height, and 2,800 mm in wheelbase. The Panther trim offers a higher ground clearance of 200 mm, while the base Executive trim sits 160 mm above the ground.

In terms of suspension, the Jetour T1 Lightning i-DM model line is equipped with MacPherson Struts (independent-type) at the front and a Multi-Link independent-type at the rear. This setup is credited with this SUV’s excellent ability to absorb bumps and other minor road imperfections in the city. It also enhances its capability to pass through light rocky and muddy trails in the provinces. That said, it is important to note that its suspension leans more towards comfort than sportiness.

Powering the Jetour T1 Lightning i-DM model line is the brand’s plug-in hybrid technology that combines a 1.5L gasoline engine, which produces 140 hp of maximum power and 215 Nm of maximum torque, with a permanent magnet synchronous motor, generating 150 kW (201 hp) and 310 Nm. Feeding its electric motor is a 26.7-kWh LiFePO4 battery that offers a WLTC pure EV range of up to 120 kilometers. That said, its plug-in hybrid technology offers a combined range of over 1,200 kilometers. This SUV comes mated to a single-speed dedicated hybrid transmission system and utilizes a front-wheel drivetrain.

The T1’s electrified powertrain delivers effortless acceleration, with its strong torque output allowing quick and confident highway overtakes. Its DHT is smooth and responsive, enhancing the driver’s overall experience on the road. You also have the flexibility to adjust how this plug-in hybrid SUV performs, thanks to its four driving modes: Eco, Sport, Normal, and Snow. And, most importantly, it delivers outstanding efficiency and range for both heavy city traffic and long-distance trips.

Safety is one of the main strengths of the Jetour T1 Lightning i-DM. It is equipped with a long list of advanced driver assistance systems, such as blind spot monitoring, front and rear parking radars, adaptive cruise control, front and rear collision warning, a rear cross traffic alert system, as well as a 540-degree camera, among others.

Additionally, this SUV utilizes ventilated discs for front braking and solid discs for the rear. Its braking setup is supported by an anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution, a brake assist, traction control, electronic stability control, and hill-start assist, to name a few.
