Lamborghini Huracan Overview
The Lamborghini Huracán is a relatively new nameplate for the Italian luxury sports car brand. First produced in 2014, the Huracán was the predecessor of the legendary Lamborghini Gallardo, manufactured from 2003 to 2013 and is one of the best-selling cars of the brand. The Huracán still maintains some of the unique and defining qualities of the Gallardo but tweaked to incorporate modern upgrades. Currently, the Huracán is available on two body style: coupe and convertible; and comes in four models: the Huracán Evo, Huracán Evo Spyder, Huracán Evo RWD, and Huracán Evo RWD Spyder which was virtually launched last week, 07 May 2020, using augmented reality to highlight its features.

Lamborghini Huracan Interior
The geometrical detail continues inside the cabin with hexagonal shaped AC vents, instrument cluster, the steering wheel center, seats, and other trim details on the doors. Slip inside the Huracán and the first thing that will captivate you is the center console that looks more like an airplane cockpit. There are tons of buttons, knobs, and switches that surround the 8.4-inch infotainment system that makes this luxury sports car feel ultra-modern. The infotainment comes standard with the Lamborghini Sensonum music system with Apple CarPlay (sorry Android users, no Android Auto here) and is partnered to a 6-speaker sound system. Add your style by customizing the bucket seats of the Lambo to your preference. And since this sports car can only seat two people, it’s something best enjoyed by yourself or with a friend. Cargo space on the front trunk is also lacking as it could only fit a medium-sized suitcase. So just to be sure, better to carry a duffle bag instead.

Lamborghini Huracan Exterior
The current Huracán is a mid-cycle update that boasts of Italian craftsmanship. Built for speed, the body and chassis are made of hybrid aluminum and carbon fiber to make the sportscar lightweight. The front façade of the Huracán looks that of a snarling bull which is a nod to the Spanish fighting bull it was named after (traditionally, Lambo car models are named after historical Spanish fighting bulls). The slanted full LED headlights look like the bull’s raging eyes while the lower bumper and skirt completes the bull’s growling look. At the rear is the sleek low riding rear windshield that slopes seamlessly to the rear wings. The dual exhaust pipes are strategically placed above the rear diffuser. The hexagonal-shaped side mirrors add to the angular details found on the exterior body that in turn complements the curves and creases of the car. The Lamborghini Huracán rides on a set of 20-inch silver alloy casted rims wrapped in 245/30 R20 and 305/30 R20 rubber in the front and rear, respectively.

Lamborghini Huracan Ride & Handling
Driving the Lamborghini Huracán is pure adrenalin, even when you are driving at a decent speed. Getting behind the wheel and you find that after being overwhelmed with all the modern buttons and high-tech looking instrument cluster, driving the Lamborghini is such a rush. Engine performance is very strong and is highlighted by its robust acoustic. This Lambo is very agile, nimble, and responsive thanks to its electro-mechanical assisted power steering. The double-wishbone fully independent suspension ensures a cushioned, comfortable drive.

Lamborghini Huracan Engine & Fuel Consumption
The lightweight and compact naturally aspirated 90° V-10 Euro 6 compliant engine of the Huracán can deliver a whopping 601 hp of maximum output at 8,250 rpm and peak torque of 560 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The engine uses dual injection technology which is a first for a V-10 engine. Multi-point injection (MPI) system and direct stratified injection (DSI) system can be used alternatively or simultaneously, depending on the driving conditions, for improved efficiency and performance. The engine is mated to the new Lamborghini 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox LDF (Lamborghini Doppia Frizione) that uses an electronically controlled all-wheel-drive system with rear mechanical self-locking differential. This posh speed machine can easily go from zero to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and can reach a max speed of 325 kmph.

Lamborghini Huracan Braking & Safety
The Lamborghini Huracán comes with a decent amount of safety features to keep passengers protected. Besides equipping the luxury sportscar with carbon-ceramic brakes with fixed calipers monoblock in aluminum with 6 pistons at the front and 4 pistons at the rear, it also has additional safety systems. Worth mentioning are the Lamborghini Integrated Vehicle Dynamics System (LDVI) which is considered as the ‘brain’ of the car; Anti-Lock Braking System with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (ABS with EBD); 6 airbags; side and front impact beams; speed-sensing door locks; parking sensors; alarm system; engine immobilizer; and tire pressure monitoring.

Lamborghini Huracan Verdict
The Lamborghini Huracán ticks almost all the things you’d look for in a luxury sports car. It has head-turning looks, strong performance, premium upholstery, superior infotainment system, and bucket-style seat for that true race car feel. And whether you are a car enthusiast or not, the Lamborghini Huracán is more than just a sweet ride. It’s a status symbol for people who appreciate the finer things in life. Sure it comes with a hefty price tag. But that price tag makes it ultra-exclusive and that much desirable for people who can afford it.
