Inside, the Land Rover Discovery Sport offers a spacious cabin that has well-padded DuoLeather seats for the S and Dynamic SE variants and Windsor leather seats for the Dynamic HSE variant. The Sport S and Dynamic SE P250 variants are equipped with a heating function for their front and rear seats. From the outside, the Land Rover Discovery Sport’s appearance might look like a tamed version of the Range Rover’s, but it still effectively showcases the brand’s premium and luxurious character in its own way. The main highlight of its smooth hood is the head-turning ‘DISCOVERY’ lettering, which sets you apart from other 7-seater SUVs on the road.

The suspension system of the Land Rover Discovery Sport helps it have light maneuverability and adaptability on different kinds of roads. The Land Rover Discovery Sport comes with two powertrain options. Every variant except the Dynamic SE D165 variant is powered by a 2L, 4-cylinder Turbocharged Petrol MHEV (mild hybrid electric vehicle) engine that produces a maximum power output of 249 PS and a maximum torque of 365 Nm. 

Meanwhile, the Dynamic SE D165 variant is powered by a 2L, 4-cylinder Turbocharged Diesel MHEV engine that produces a maximum power output of 163 PS and a maximum torque of 380 Nm. All variants utilize an all-wheel drive system and run on a 9-speed automatic transmission. 

For an SUV that is marketed for family use, this runs smoothly on city roads and even highways. Power is delivered linearly, giving this car a decent acceleration. However, others might find its performance on the road lackluster. But, at the end of the day, it is designed to become a reliable daily vehicle in the city. That said, it is important to emphasize that it is not performance-oriented in any way.

The Land Rover Discovery Sport is equipped with advanced driver assistance features such as the brand’s ‘All Terrain Progress Control’, lane keep assist, emergency braking, front and rear parking aids, rear collision monitor, blind spot assist, driver condition monitor, rear traffic monitor, dynamic stability control, electronic traction control, and adaptive cruise control among others.
