Mazda CX-60 Overview
The Mazda CX-60 underwent a refresh for this model year, delivering a more luxurious and refined cruising experience than ever before. This midsize crossover SUV now comes with a smoother and more responsive SKYACTIV-DRIVE 8-speed automatic transmission, enhancing its overall driver-friendliness wherever it goes. Additionally, its cabin offers better sound insulation while retaining the excellent build quality that characterized the previous model. Locally, the Mazda CX-60 comes in two trims - the gasoline-powered 3.3L AWD HEV Turbo, which is priced at ₱2.890 million, and the diesel-powered 3.3L AWD HEV Turbo D-Sport, which is priced at ₱2.990 million. This SUV is available in seven colours: Jet Black, Rhodium White, and Sonic Silver, to name a few.

Mazda CX-60 Interior
Inside, the Mazda CX-60 comes with a classy-looking cabin fitted with an abundance of premium creature comforts and high-tech features. The gasoline-powered Turbo comes with either a black or a white interior, while the Turbo D-Sport features a tan interior with quilted Leganu Suede for a more exclusive feel. Up front, the driver has access to a 12.3-inch LCD meter set display, a 10.4-inch front windshield-projected heads-up display, a leather multi-control steering wheel with paddle shifters, and a shift knob, which is also leather-wrapped. Its cockpit is also equipped with a Driver Personalization System (with Driving Position Guidance).
For entertainment and information accessibility, this SUV comes with another 12.3-inch LCD display that offers Bluetooth Hands-Free, Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, and is Mazda Connect-compatible. Its display is paired with a 12-speaker BOSE Sound System for an immersive sound experience around the cabin. Additionally, the CX-60 also offers multiple USB-C ports, a wireless charger, a sunglass holder, an LED courtesy lamp, and a Driver Entry/Exit Assist feature for enhanced driver and passenger convenience at all times.
In terms of comfort and practicality, the CX-60’s Nappa leather seats offer a balance of cushioning and support for all passengers. Its 10-way power-adjustable front seats also come with a ventilation function. Aside from that, its front row is a very nice place to be in, while the rear has more than enough room for two individuals. However, inserting a third adult passenger in the second row might be a bit of a struggle due to a bulky center tunnel that limits kneeroom and legroom. On the plus side, its trunk offers generous space for your family’s groceries and light personal luggage.

Mazda CX-60 Exterior
From the outside, the Mazda CX-60 flaunts the brand’s “KODO” design language, which combines elegant styling cues with features that exude power and confidence on the road. Its robust-looking front end is flanked by a pair of split LED headlight assemblies with slim LED DRLs that extend toward its gloss black grille. The gasoline-powered Turbo comes with a bar-type grille, while the diesel-powered Turbo D-Sport features the honeycomb version, for a classier feel overall. The former also gets a bright chrome front signature wing, while the latter sports the black chrome counterpart.
Meanwhile, its side profile is defined by a blend of muscular curves and sleek character lines. This SUV is equipped with power-adjustable side mirrors with automatic functions and a memory feature. The Turbo D-Sport trim flaunts a sportier silhouette, highlighted by its black chrome signature fender finish, matte black side window moulding, and 20-inch aluminum alloy wheels finished in black metallic. In contrast, the gasoline-powered Turbo exudes a more subtle, classy aura with its bright chrome elements and 20-inch diamond cut aluminum alloy wheels.
Furthermore, its rear design slightly gives off a European styling wherever it goes. It comes with sharp-looking LED combination lamps with passive collision signal, a hands-free power liftgate with height adjustment memory, and an exhaust garnish, which makes its overall design look high-performance.
In terms of dimensions, the Mazda CX-60 model line measures 4,745 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, and 1,680 mm in height. This SUV also has a wheelbase of 2,870 mm and a laden ground clearance of 175 mm.

Mazda CX-60 Ride & Handling
In terms of suspension, the Mazda CX-60 comes with a Double Wishbone at the front and a Multi-Link at the rear. Admittedly, its setup is more tuned for performance and sportiness than comfort. That said, this SUV handles sharp turns and challenging winding roads with confidence and precision. In the city, it is also very agile to maneuver for its size. Overall, this SUV boasts outstanding driver engagement and road feel, courtesy of Mazda’s Kinematic Posture Control and Off-Road Traction Assist (for light rural terrains).

Mazda CX-60 Engine & Fuel Consumption
The Mazda CX-60 model line offers two powertrain options. First, the Turbo D-Sport runs on a hybrid powertrain that combines a Turbo e-SKYACTIV-D (diesel), in-line 6-cylinder engine, which produces 254 PS of maximum power and 550 Nm of maximum torque, with a 48-Volt Hybrid System with a 0.33-kWh Lithium-Ion battery, generating an additional 16.9 PS of power and 153 Nm of torque.
Meanwhile, the standard Turbo trim is also powered by the same hybrid system but with a Turbo e-SKYACTIV-G (gasoline), in-line 6-cylinder engine that delivers 284 PS and 450 Nm of torque. Both trims, however, are mated to Mazda’s SKYACTIV-DRIVE 8-speed automatic transmission system and utilize an i-ACTIV all-wheel drivetrain. This model is also equipped with four driving modes: Normal, Sport, Off-Road, and Towing.
Regardless of the engine type, this SUV can get up to speed effortlessly. Its refreshed gearbox is also smoother and more responsive, enhancing the driver’s overall experience on the road. On top of this, its cabin’s improved sound insulation system excellently keeps external noises at bay. Aside from that, its fuel economy is decent for its class.
-
Mazda CX-60 Braking & Safety
Safety is one of the main strengths of the CX-60, as it is equipped with Mazda’s I-ACTIVSENSE. This ADAS suite includes front and rear smart brake support, a driver attention alert, driver monitoring system, blind spot monitoring, front and rear cross traffic alert, lane departure warning, and a Mazda Radar Cruise Control.
Additionally, it comes with seven airbags, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree view monitor with a see-through view, and an electric parking brake with auto brake hold, among others. Its front and rear ventilated disc brakes are also supported by an anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution, hill descent control, and dynamic stability control.
