Mercedes-Benz C-Class Review
Mercedes-Benz C-Class Overview
Mercedes-Benz is known for its athletic, sporty, lithe cars, and it did not come as a surprise when they launched the Mercedes- Benz C-Class that it was another elegant sports number.
The new C Class is an extremely luxurious, ultra-modern car which is the epitome of comfort and elegance.
While the Philippine market gets only one variant, the C250 comes with great features like chrome body pins, LED headlamps, panoramic sunroof, Child Safety Locks, 1991cc powerful engine, Cruise Control, diamond radiator grille, and aerodynamic roofline.
We are also very excited to see the five different driving modes, namely, Eco, Sport, Sport+, Comfort, and Individual. Not only do they provide a variety of options for your different driving moods, but it also lets you appreciate the range of performance that the car can deliver.
Now let us look closely at the details of the Mercedes-Benz C -Class.
Mercedes-Benz C-Class Exterior
The design and look of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class have people drooling over it. While the exterior is somewhat in tandem with the other Mercedes sedans, the interior has been given more changes.
The plush leather seats with an aluminum textured finish, equipped with adjustable heating and cooling systems, ensure that you get the most comfortable ride. While the front part of the car has ample space and legroom, the back seats are a little smaller in comparison and can pose a problem. The steering wheel is flat-bottomed with leather covering for a premium feel and has two touchpads that let you operate the digital display in front. Some other exciting additions are the wireless charging points, panoramic sunroof, and 64 shades of ambient lighting.
The external look of the C Class gives it a smaller appearance than it is. The roofline glides smoothly into the rear giving it a quick, sporty look. Sleek LED headlamps, long hood, and diamond radiator grille all contribute to its elegance.
Mercedes-Benz C-Class Ride & Handling
The best part about handling the Mercedes-Benz C Class is the five different drive modes they have come up with: ECO, Sport, Sport +, Comfort, and Individual. These drive modes are specifically designed to suit your needs and driving style, thus changing the handling, throttle response, and transmission shift individually.
The ECO mode provides better fuel efficiency with relaxed engine response and earlier gear shifts, while the Comfort Mode provides a more balanced and economical ride.
The Sport mode is all about strong performances with stiffer suspension, and steerings while the Sport+ mode takes this experience up a notch with more power and speed.
On the other hand, the individual mode helps you design your driving mode, steering, suspension, and throttle from the touchscreen display.
Mercedes-Benz C-Class Engine & Fuel Consumption
C Class Sedans come with the mighty 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged engine, which generates a maximum power of 208 hp and a maximum torque of 350 Nm. The sedan's top speed is almost 250 kmph, while the 7-speed automatic transmission can push the car from 0-100 kmph in just 6.8 seconds.
Mercedes-Benz C-Class Braking & Safety
Mercedes has left no stones unturned where the safety of its passengers is concerned. The C Class is equipped with SRS airbags for the driver and passenger, providing adequate protection in a collision. The new traction control and vehicle stability control system offers a good buffer against uneven, wet roads and makes sharp turns without losing control of the car. Also, the sedan is equipped with several sensors, which will help prevent any collisions. The useful engine immobilizer and anti-theft alarm also protect against theft of the car.
Additionally, the braking system of the C Class is very smooth. The electronic brakeforce distribution allows traction to any wheel whenever necessary due to its monitoring of individual wheels and their needs.
Mercedes-Benz C-Class Verdict
Mercedes-Benz C-Class is the contemporary contender in the luxury vehicle market. With its advanced performance, attractive looks, and superior comfort, Benz C Class gives tough competition to its contenders. The C Class sedan is one of the best luxury cars to own.
