A well-balanced bike for off-road enthusiasts
The Kawasaki KX450 is a capable off-road performer. Even in stock form, this bike offers ample power. While with proper tuning, its engine makes it a true horsepower beast, for most riders, a slip-on muffler delivers noticeable gains. However, for diverse terrain, the 5-speed transmission feels slightly limited. For tight trails, first gear can be too tall, and for high-speed stretches, fifth gear may not be tall enough. With intake tweaks and ECU remaps, the power delivery of the bike improves significantly. A choice of two foot peg positions and four handlebar positions allows you to tailor your riding position depending on your preference and body style
