My Fuso FJ-1823R runs daily from Manila Port to the Pampanga industrial zones. Powered by a 6D16 diesel engine, it delivers a stellar power of 230 hp. Paired with a 6-speed transmission system, it handles 18-ton loads easily without putting too much strain on the chassis. The dual-circuit air brakes and the auxiliary exhaust brakes give me enough confidence every time I drive downhill along SCTEX. What I truly love about this truck is the air suspension seat, which doesn’t let me feel fatigue even after long driving hours. However, the dashboard and the infotainment system feel quite out of place, all due to the outdated technologies being used.
