New and Used Mazda 323 for Sale Philippines 2017
The Mazda 323 is a small family car with a sedan body. Also known as the Mazda Familia, the 323 was later replaced by the Mazda 3 as the Japanese brand entered the compact segment. In other markets, this car was also sold with a wagon body. The Mazda 323 was placed under the compact sedan segment which is largely dominated by Japanese brands.
Mazda marketed the 323 between 1963 and 2003. In its lifetime, the 323 expanded to eight generations with the last one starting in 1998. Originally a subcompact, the 323’s dimensions were revamped in 1989 which helped make it become a family car contender. This car was very popular in the Philippines during the 1980s and 1990s because of its refined handling and very spacious cabin. It also had a slightly different body style than its contemporaries, such as longer rear combination lamps. For those who miss the look of the Mazda 323, there’s plenty available in the 2nd hand cars for sale markets.

Mazda 323 Review in the Philippines
Mazda 323 Specs and Performance
The last generation of the 323 that was launched in the Philippines was equipped with two power plant options: a 1.3-liter B3 carburetor gasoline engine which provides 75 horsepower and 104 Nm of torque; and a 1.6-liter B6 in-line 4 gasoline engine that spurts 115 horsepower and 139 Nm of torque. When this car is driven in highway conditions, it can accelerate from 0-100 kilometers per hour (kph) in 11 seconds and has a top speed of up to 135 kph.
The Mazda 323 has a uni-body design with a MacPherson strut front suspension and a multi-link in its back suspension. This short-travel suspension system makes the 323 simple to drive and handle well on city streets. However, harsh roads can throw the car about.

Mazda 323 Interior
Inside the 323 is a very basic but functional cabin with just the right amount of headroom and legroom. Though its dashboard may be rudimentary, it does serve its purpose of providing multiple compartments such as an additional glove box on top of the main one. - Push-type air conditioning
- Vinyl upholstery

This car’s front fascia features a flat hood, rectangular headlamps, a small radiator slit with the old Mazda logo and a black colored plastic bumper. On its side is a plastic sill that primarily serves an aesthetic purpose. From behind, the 323 features overly extended rear combination lamps that go from one end to the other and seemingly overlapping with the trunk itself.
