ACMobility expands EV charging network with Ayala Malls Manila Bay installation

ACMobility grew its electric vehicle (EV) charging network after launching its newest hub strategically located at Ayala Malls Manila Bay.

Per the Ayala-owned mobility company, the charging hub sits next to the transport terminal entrance along Almario Road (Belle Avenue). On that note, it has been designed to cater to the charging needs of both private and commercial vehicles.

“The Ayala Malls Manila Bay Charging Hub is ACMobility's latest investment as an end-to-end electric mobility ecosystem provider that aims to activate 100 charging locations by the end of 2024,” ACMobility said in a social media post.

The new ACMobility charging hub is equipped with a direct current (DC) charging station with two ports and three alternating current (AC) charging stations with a single port each. On that note, the new charging facility can accommodate up to five EVs at once.

According to ACMobility, the DC charging station can deliver some 120 kilowatts (kW) of power through two Combined Charging System (CCS) 2 charging points. On the other hand, the AC chargers get one Type 2 and Guobiao/T (GB/T) standard charge ports that can dish out as much as 22 kW.

Year-end target

ACMobility stated that it looks to establish 100 EV charging stations by the end of the year.

Currently, ACMobility has over 70 charging stations in 31 locations across the country and it looks to add some 30 more stations to help promote EV use in the Philippines.
