  • In a statement, the Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines (EVAP) said that it brought in the greatest number of contingents in the whole Asean Federation for Electric Vehicle Associations (AFEVA) at the meet held last August 30.

With that, Juan lauded the successful participation of the EVAP delegation at the event.

"The 8th Electric Vehicle Asia 2023 provided an invaluable platform for networking and learning. Our delegation engaged with experts and innovators in the electric vehicle industry, absorbing insights from various talks and presentations," the EVAP Chairman noted.

While such is the case, Juan said that AFEVA as a group made a “resounding impact" at the recently-concluded event.

Aside from EVAP, AFEVA’s member organizations are EVAT (Electric Vehicle Association of Thailand), EVAM (Electric Vehicle Association of Malaysia), EVAS (Electric Vehicle Association of Singapore), and Periklindo (Perkumpulan Industri Kendaraan Listrik Indonesia).

Moreover, Juan claimed that the AFEVA’s presence at the event reflects its commitment to advancing the electric vehicle (EV) landscape in the ASEAN region — highlighting the collaborative spirit of AFEVA's member associations, who are dedicated to driving sustainable transportation solutions and fostering the growth of electric mobility.

In addition, EVAP said that the timing of AFEVA's active participation in the event is particularly significant” as EVAP gears up for the 11th EV Summit — set to take place at the SMX Convention Center in SM Mall of Asia on October 19-21, 2023.

“This forthcoming summit promises to be a focal point for industry leaders, experts, and enthusiasts, offering a platform for the exchange of ideas and the exploration of new opportunities in the electric mobility sector,” the group explained.

“As AFEVA continues to strengthen its presence and collaboration within the ASEAN region, these engagements serve as pivotal moments for shaping the future of electric mobility in Southeast Asia,” it added.
