Auto Nation Group (ANG), official distributor of Jeep vehicles in the country, is proud to announce two new additions to the American brand’s local lineup of sport utility vehicles— all-new Jeep Renegade and new Jeep Compass.
The All-New Jeep Renegade is available in two trims, the Longitude (P1,640,000) and Limited (P1,790,000). Designed for both the urban and natural jungle, this compact SUV operates on a 1.4-liter Tjet tubo engine with Engine Stop Start that produces 147hp and 230Nm. A 7-speed dual dry clutch transmission delivers power to the front wheels made of 17-inch aluminum alloy. The rear wheels employ the same size and material, of course.
The Renegade cabin boasts some of the plushest features for the price point, beginning with the 7-inch touchscreen powered by UConnect 4 with Apple Car Play and Baidu CarLife connectivity and on to the 6-speaker infotainment system with integrated voice command and Bluetooth, full sunroof, and capped off by the ParkView Rear Back-up Camera and ParkSense Rear Assist System, that makes parking even in the smallest spaces a cinch.
The second car in its latest batch, the new Jeep Compass, was initially teased at last year’s Manila International Auto Show. Those who have been itching to get their hands on the four-door compact crossover SUV since that time can consider their long wait over, as the Compass is finally here, sporting a 1.4L MultiAir turbo mill with Stop Start function under the hood. A pairing with a 7-speed Dual Dry Clutch Transmission allows this engine to output 162 hp and 250 Nm of torque.
The Compass carries basically the same infotainment system as the Renegade, also equipped with the Baidu CarLife app. The ParkView and ParkSense features make their appearance as well, with the addition of a nifty Electric Park Brake that brings the car to full stop the moment it’s engaged.
