Regarding output, the newly introduced PHEV SUV produces 301 horsepower and 450 Newton-meters of torque. This considerable amount of power and pull goes together with a combined driving range of almost 1,000 kilometers (km), as well as an electric-only range of 100 km. Charging the model, meanwhile, can be done via an alternating current (AC) port with a provided AC plug.

The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV's added performance and efficiency are ensured by an intelligent system that can automatically transition between all-electric driving and gasoline power. Furthermore, the vehicle also features several EV-specific drive modes, including normal, save, charge, and EV priority. These go together with power management drive modes (normal, economy, sport) and its terrain modes (tarmac, gravel, snow, mud).
