Astara PH hails new executives

Astara Philippines has appointed three new executives  under the two automotive brands that it is managing locally.

In a statement, the exclusive distributor of Peugeot and GAC Motor vehicles in the country said that the company now has Franz Decloedt as Marketing Director for Astara Philippines to handle the two brands while Michael John del Pilar and Ryan Bermudez have been appointed as Sales Directors for Peugeot  Philippines and GAC Motor Philippines, respectively.

“I am thrilled to welcome Franz, MJ and Ryan to Astara Philippines as we advance our growth plans in the market. Being seasoned leaders with proven track records in their respective fields, they each bring valuable experience that will help accelerate our momentum for Peugeot and GAC Motor through impactful marketing and sales campaigns,” Astara Philippines Managing Director Raoul Picello was quoted as saying.

With more than 20 years of marketing leadership experience, Decloedt will be responsible for driving brand- building efforts for the two brands. Prior to joining Astara Philippines, Decloedt was the marketing director for various automotive brands and held various leadership roles.

Meanwhile, del Pilar will manage sales strategies in partnership with Peugeot’s rapidly expanding network of dealers across the country. He brings nearly 25 years of solid experience in sales and marketing gained from his previous roles with several automotive companies.

Lastly, Astara said that Bermudez shall oversee GAC Motors’ sales planning and strategies. Before joining Astara Philippines, Bermudez also held posts related to sales under various automotive brands.

Last January, Astara Philippines has appointed Redentor Cajayon as GAC Motor Philippines Brand Head.

Astara’s Peugeot Philippines enjoyed a 285-percent year-over-year growth in retail sales in 2022.  Meanwhile, GAC Motor launched the Empow and all-new GS8 early this year, following the acquisition of the marque's distributorship.
