Company history
Lao shared that the business started in 2007 as a small carwash and detailing shop named "Autobot" coined from the Transformer robots of which Lao was a big fan.
It immediately evolved into Autobot Autoworks after it started marketing and installing car parts and accessories while servicing and modifying their customers’ vehicles.
As the market grew and became more diverse the company CEO as well as the Chief Operations Officer Ken Lao saw the potential in the 4x4, off-road and overlanding market — thereby developing into what is known now as Autobot Offroad PH.
In a statement, the company said that it has forged partnerships with aftermarket marques like Profender, Fuel Offroad, BF Goodrich, Michelin, Nitto Tires, Ridemax, Hamer, Option4WD, TJM.
Further advancing its business, Autobot Offroad PH bolstered its main branch in Project 8 and added several branches nationwide from as far as North Luzon and Southern Mindanao. Moreover, Autobot also claimed that it has ventured overseas by opening two branches in Qatar through a franchised partnership with the S’hail Group.
