Burt Reynold's Movie Car Replicas Fetch USD379,500 Total

No Hollywood leading man would be complete without his collection of upmarket rides, and with that idea, Burt Reynolds is easily the quintessential macho stud.

Reynolds, who died of a heart attack September 6 at age 82, had offered four of his movie car replicas for auction ahead of his demise. There's no question that his recent death helped drive up the value of his cars at auction.

Two of the vehicles that went up for auction were faithful re-creations of the cars he drove in "Smokey and the Bandit" and "Hooper," two films from the 1970s and 80s that Reynolds starred in. The third was not a film car, but was used to promote the football team he owned, the Tampa Bay Bandits. The fourth was a 1978 Chevrloet R30 pickup truck designed to mimic the one featured in "Cannonball Run."

The four cars sold last weekend at a Las Vegas auction for a combined USD379,500.
