CAGI Holds First-Ever 'Dealer Talks'

The Car Awards Group, Inc. (CAGI), the organizers of the annual Car of the Year-Philippines (COTY-P), Truck of the Year-Philippines (TOTY-P), and now the Motorcycle of the Year-Philippines (MOTY-P) recently held its first-ever "Dealer Talks" last June 24, 2017, with Honda Cars Manila Bay as the first venue.

According to CAGI, the "Dealer Talks" serves as a conference for a dealer's marketing professionals  "to know how, why, and what made their products achieve the prestigious COTY and TOTY awards," as a means to help enhance the image of the winning vehicles and strengthen the overall value of the brand. Honda Cars Manila Bay is operated by Honda Cars Makati, Inc. (HCMI) and is the newest dealership in the metro under AC Automotive, with over 100 attendees from the six Honda dealerships under the Ayala Automotive Group attending the conference along with members from the various Honda Civic Clubs. The CAGI leadership further explained that the awards it bestows are not ordinary accolades as it remains the only organization in the country that conducts instrumented tests to determine the best vehicles in the country. "There is a story behind every crown and this is our way of telling it to the public," added CAGI President Ronald de los Reyes. "We've been awarding vehicles since 2004 and we believe that our unique process needs to be further disseminated through these talks."
