CAVITEX-C5 Link Will Charge New Toll Fees Starting October 24

Bad news for commuters who use the R1 Expressway: Starting October 24, 2019, the Cavitex Infrastructure Corporation (CIC) will charge new toll fees for motorists who will use the 2.2-kilometer segment 1 of CAVITEX-C5 Link South Expressway that runs along Coastal Road in Paranaque.

This came following the petition for the 'Approval of the Ad-on Agreed Toll Rate for Phase 1 of Segment 1 Enhancement of the Manila Cavite Expressway Project' was approved by the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB).

According to CIC President Bobby Bontia: "TRB’s approval to collect toll is a welcome development, this will help us in the operations and maintenance of the 2.2 kilometers now being used by motorists. CIC shall continue to work on the next 5.5 kilometers of the Cavitex-C5 Link starting this November."

Here are the current and new toll rates starting on October 24:

The C5 South Link Expressway's completion will link the C5 to CAVITEX. This will make it easier for around 50,000 of its daily users to drive through the south of Metro Manila, from C5 all the way to Coastal Road.
