Changan Motor Philippines, Inc. (CMPI) highlighted the notable safety features offered by the mid-range variant of its compact crossover — the CS55 Plus Hype.
The local arm of the Chinese automotive brand pointed out that the Changan CS55 Plus Hype comes with modern safety technologies, like automatic emergency brakes (AEB). The aforementioned system — CMPI explained — helps assess the likeliness of coming into contact with a vehicle, increasing one’s safety while on the road.
Further, AEB works in tandem with Forward Collision Warning, which detects slow-moving vehicles in front of the Changan CS55 Plus Hype.
The sensors, according to CMPI, alert the driver with visual and audible signals that one is getting too close for comfort and therefore must hit the brakes.
Additionally, the Changan CS55 Plus Hype has adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go feature that accurately monitors and adjusts its speed to match that of the vehicle in front. This safety tech helps drivers maintain a safe distance and move safely and more confidently on the road.
The Changan CS55 Plus Hype, CMPI said, also has built-in eyes. It comes standard with a panoramic camera that has a High-Definition Driving Recorder System, which gives the driver a 540-degree virtual view of his or her surroundings.
With it, the driver can avoid obstructions and potholes, as well as park and maneuver through tight spaces.
In addition, the HD Driving Recorder captures and automatically saves 30 seconds of video — 15 seconds before and 15 seconds after incidents of sudden braking or collision, from all sides of the vehicle.
And since the Changan CS55 Plus Hype can give its owners added peace of mind, occupants can further enjoy both short and long trips thanks to the Pioneer Premium Sound System that comes standard for the variant.
In–car audio and entertainment can be better experienced through the Changan CS55 Plus Hype’s 12.3-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay compatibility.
The Changan CS55 Plus Hype sits alongside the base variant (Lite) and the range-topping model (Luxe). It is priced at P1.283 million.
