MANILA: Dongfeng Motors Philippines has officially launched the E70 Pro.
The aforementioned model is an all-electric sedan marketed as a comfortable and affordable car designed for the modern driver. Not only does it offer a way to switch to a sustainable means of mobility, but it also promises additional savings when it comes to operational and maintenance costs versus its internal combustion engine-powered counterparts.
On that note, here is a quick look at the Dongfeng E70 Pro.
Under the hood of the Dongfeng E70 Pro is a permanent magnet synchronous motor accompanied by a 55.99 kilowatt-hour ternary lithium battery.
Here’s how much power the setup can produce:
Maximum power output (in horsepower) |
161 |
Maximum torque (in Newton-meters) |

As for its range, Dongfeng Motors Philippines stated that it can travel up to 420 kilometers (km) on a single charge. When it comes to juicing it up, the E70 Pro can go from 30 to 80 percent in around 36 minutes.
Stopping power comes from disc brakes front and back, while suspension components are comprised of a Mac Pherson strut at the fore and a torsion beam arrangement at the rear.
Outside, the Dongfeng E70 Pro packs a modern-looking fascia with a pair of sleek headlamps and a stylish grille. Here, owners can find the charging port inconspicuously tucked under a cover that bears the “Aeolus” branding. Above which, is the Chinese carmaker’s emblem.
To its sides are typical sedan appointments such as side sill garnishes, thin door claddings for added protection, a pair of power-folding side mirrors with a black trim, and a set of futuristic-looking 17-inch alloy wheels.
Behind, the Dongfeng E70 Pro sports a combination taillamp bridged together by a long horizontal light bar, a decent-sized glass, and a bumper with a diffuser slapped with reflectors on each side, as well as one in the middle — ala Formula One.
For those wondering, here’s how the Dongfeng E70 Pro measures:

Inside, the Dongfeng E70 Pro gets modern amenities such as a clean, minimalist dashboard with a combination display screen comprised of a 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster and a nine-inch infotainment touchscreen display.
While it lacks native Apple Carplay and Android Auto apps, it has a third-party smartphone mirroring software for integrating one’s mobile phone apps into the infotainment unit.
The Dongfeng E70 Pro has leather seats, a polyurethane steering wheel, a six-way manual-adjust driver’s seat, and air conditioning vents with yellow gold accents.
For safety, the Dongfeng E70 Pro comes with the following features:
