DPWH to Repair EDSA, A.H. Lacson, Batasan Road this Weekend

DPWH

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will resume weekend road repair on two sections of Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) and one section each of A.H. Lacson Avenue and Batasan Road starting 11 PM on Friday, August 31, 2018.

DPWH-National Capital Region Director Melvin B. Navarro said that with clearance from the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), repairs will be undertaken at EDSA southbound direction from in front of Francesca Tower to after Scout Borromeo, third lane from the center island; and the northbound direction from before North Avenue, sixth lane from the center island.

Reblocking activities will also be done at the northbound directions of: A.H. Lacson Avenue corner Aragon Street and corner P. Florentino Street; and at Batasan Road before Payatas Road, second lane.

Motorists are advised to use possible alternate routes due to traffic slowdown in the affected areas. Those using Batasan Road may temporarily take Commonwealth Avenue as an alternative road while repair is ongoing.

Affected road lanes will be fully passable at 5 AM Monday, September 3, 2018.
