Evro app users can now view all DOE-registered EV charging stations

Evro App

MANILA: In its bid to make electric vehicle (EV) charging more convenient to users, Evro has bolstered its app’s capabilities by allowing the program to identify all charging stations that are registered with the Department of Energy (DOE).

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • What is the name of the Evro app’s new feature?

Evro’s smartphone app’s new feature is called “Station Finder.”
  • How many charting stations are currently registered with DOE?

Per Evro, some 250 EV charging stations are currently registered with the government agency.
  • According to the ACMobility-owned company, the number of the charging facilities that are registered with the government agency is a little over 240. These include both partner and non-partner providers, which Evro said is regularly updated in the app.

“Evro is redefining the EV charging experience in the Philippines with its powerful, all-in-one platform. By delivering real-time data on station locations, availability, and charging sessions , it empowers users with unmatched visibility and control — driving a new era of accessible, seamless, and efficient EV charging across the country,” it wrote in a press statement.

    New map pin icons

Evro’s new “Station Finder” feature also has the ability to display the status of each station. For example, a green pin means that the charging station is available, while a red pin means that it is currently in use.

Further, a gray pin can either mean that the station is unavailable or is incompatible with the vehicle registered in the app.

Customers also have the option to customize their maps by selecting various “filter” options like “Available,” which will prompt the app to show stations that are online or are ready to use.

Relatedly, app users can filter by charger type, vehicle compatibility, or to display only Evro partner stations.

Those who might feel lost can find helpful content via the app’s frequently asked questions page.

“Evro is dedicated to fostering a comprehensive, customer-centric EV ecosystem, a vision realized through active collaboration with all Philippine-based charge point operators. Looking ahead, the company plans to rapidly expand its network, onboarding even more partners to forge truly comprehensive nationwide coverage. This strategic growth will enhance convenience for every EV user but will also solidify Evro’s promise to deliver EV power everywhere,” the company added.

The Evro app can be downloaded for free on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
