Ferrari Uncovers One-off SP3JC Roadster with Big Blue Smiling Face

Ferrari has just revealed its latest one-off project, the SP3JC, a gorgeous two-tone roadster with a friendly grimace that belies its beastly capabilities. The two-tone design is quite the stand-out, as it is vertical in nature as opposed to the usual horizontal fare.

The car is actually a commission, and the peculiar paint job, according to the makers, was inspired by the client's passion for Pop Art. Inspired by the Italian supercar brand's V12-engined spiders of the 1950s and 60s and based on its flagship Ferrari F12tdf, the SP3JC was two years in the making, and according to Ferrari, is designed to make an important and individual styling statement.

The SPJ3C boasts beefy bulges that segue into sleek curves, similar to past Ferraris that inspired it. Ferrari describes the SPJ3C's exterior as demonstrating "a very muscular stance with dynamic sculpturing on the flanks designed to emphasize the front-engine layout, a distinctive air intake outline at the front, and a dramatic rear fascia with horizontal slashes contributing to a wider stance."

Though cabin photos are not available, Ferrari describes the seats as trimmed in blue leather with a white insert. "The blue leather extends to the lower dashboard and the color is picked up in the contrasting stitching to the rest of the interior trim," Ferrari continues.

The powertrain consists of a 6.3-liter V12 with 769 hp and 705 Nm mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. As for performance numbers, the coupe managed 0-100 kph in 2.9 seconds and 340 kph top speed.
