All New Toyota Camry
Toyota is famous for producing practical vehicles that last a long time. The all-new Toyota Camry continues that legacy, scoring a five star rating on the ASEAN NCAP last 2018. The vehicle scored 49.04 in the Adult Occupant protection. Under the Child Occupant Protection category, the Camry scored 22.68. For the Safety Assist, the Camry scored 19.75 points. All in all, the Camry took home a total of 91.47 points. Some of the safety features of the Camry include a heads-up display, Anti-lock Braking System with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Vehicle Stability Control, Hill Start Assist, five airbags, and clearance sensors, among others. The All-New Toyota Camry comes in three variants, including the newly released hybrid version.
Nissan Terra
Also scoring five stars on the ASEAN NCAP last 2018 is the Nissan Terra. The family SUV scored a total of 83.17 points, 44.70 in the Adult Occupant Protection category, 20.79 in the Child Occupant Protection category, and 17.69 points in the Safety Assist Technologies. The Terra comes standard with six airbags, Anti-lock Braking System with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and Brake Assist, a high mount stop lamp, and parking sensors. The Terra comes in five variants, starting at Php1.504 million.
Honda CR-V
If you’re looking for a car that can safely transport you and your family, look no further than the Honda CR-V. The Honda CR-V passed the ASEAN NCAP with flying colors, scoring 88.80 points, 47.25 points for Adult Occupant Protection, 22.84 points for Child Occupant Protection, and 18.71 points for Safety Assist Technologies. The CR-V is packed with loads of safety features such as dual front airbags and side curtain airbags, Anti-lock Braking System with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Vehicle Stability Assist, a Multi-view Reverse Camera, and Hill Start Assist. It comes in two variants, starting at Php 1.668 million.
Toyota Hiace Super Grandia
The Toyota Hiace Super Grandia comes out strong after the ASEAN NCAP testing. This people carrier earned 89.51 points. That’s 46.31 points for adult occupant protection, 22.93 for child occupant protection, and 20.27 for safety assist technologies. The Alphard comes with six airbags, Anti-lock Braking System with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and Brake Assist, Vehicle Stability Control, and Hill Start Assist, among others. It’s also the only model in the Hiace range that comes fitted with Toyota Safety sense, adding extra features like pre-collision system, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams. The Toyota Hiace Super Grandia starts at Php2.071 million.
Honda Civic
Honda’s iconic sedan isn’t just practical or zippy, it’s also loaded with a lot of safety features. The Honda Civic recently scored a total of 14.74 out of 16 for the adult occupant protection, and 86% for child occupant protection. The Civic comes standard with safety features such as Anti-lock Braking System with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Vehicle Stability Assist, Multi-view Reverse Camera with Guidelines, G-Force Control, Emergency Stop Signal, Hill Start Assist, and an immobilizer. The Civic comes in three variants, and the pricing for this sedan starts at Php 1.115 million.
