Ford PH set to release next-gen Ranger Raptor next week

After being the biggest “elephant in the room” at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) 2023, the next-generation Ford Ranger Raptor is officially being introduced in the Philippine market in a week's time.

Based on the invite sent to Carmudi Philippines, Ford Philippines will conduct the pick-up truck’s official launch on May 18.

It can be recalled that the aforementioned model was teased at the recently-concluded auto show inclined that however prevented event goers from checking the vehicle’s front fascia, engine bay, and cabin.

Despite the positioning, the team was able to get some photos of the actual vehicle.

White the Blue Oval’s local arm has yet to share the official specifications of the forthcoming model, we are still banking on the possibility the Philippine-spec Ford Ranger Raptor might have the 2.0-liter bi-turbo engine rather than 3.0-liter turbocharged powertrain.

As mentioned earlier, the displayed Ford Ranger Raptor wears 17-inch alloy wheels that are fitted with all-terrain tires — similar to the one being retailed in the Land of Smiles.

Aside from that, the upcoming Ford Ranger Raptor could also be equipped with 12-inch screen at the middle that features the Sync 4A technology, the e-shifter automatic transmission (also seen in the next-generation iterations of the Ranger and Everest) as well as the Fox 2.5-inch Live Valve shock absorbers.

The pricing and other specifications have yet to be disclosed as of the posting of the article.
