MIAS 2023: Ford PH previews upcoming Ranger Raptor

To those who visited the Ford booth at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) 2023, many of you would have surely noticed the elephant in the room: the next-generation Ranger Raptor.

The aforementioned model was displayed at the left side of the booth, inclined, teasing eventgoers of what could be seen in it. Such positioning assured that the vehicle’s front fascia, engine bay, and cabin would not be seen by the public.

However, despite the position, Carmudi Philippines managed to get some snaps of the front end of the vehicle.

While the exact date of its arrival was not shared, the Blue Oval brand’s distributor locally did confirm that it will be arriving in the country.

Ford Philippines has yet to reveal the official specifications of the vehicle but looking at the neighboring country Thailand, the upcoming Ranger Raptor could either be fitted with a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 or more likely, 2.0-liter bi-turbo mill.

The similarity seen at the display during the four-day exhibit and the one available in the Land of Smiles is the design of the 17-inch alloy wheels and the all-terrain tires fitted into it.

Meanwhile, people can expect that the incoming Ford Ranger Raptor would be fitted with the 12-inch screen at the middle that features the Sync 4A technology, the e-shifter automatic transmission (also seen in the next-generation iterations of the Ranger and Everest) as well as the Fox 2.5-inch Live Valve shock absorbers.
