Ford to enter NEV arena by Q3 2025 with Mustang Mach-E launch

MANILA: The Mustang’s electrified crossover will soon be offered in the country, the leadership of Ford Philippines confirmed.

In a recent meeting with select members of the motoring media, Ford Philippines Managing Director Pedro Simoes announced that the Mustang Mach-E will be launched locally within the third quarter of 2025.

Introducing the Ford Mustang Mach-E in the Philippines shall also signal the brand’s entry in the local new energy vehicle arena.

“It is only fitting that we take our big leap in our electrification journey with an iconic Ford vehicle. The arrival of the Mach-E reinforces Ford as a credible and must-watch player in the electric vehicle (EV) segment in the country,” Simoes said.

“With a continuously growing community of Mustang owners in the Philippines, the Mustang Mach-E will surely give enthusiasts an electrified experience like no other,” he added.

As the Blue Oval’s distributor has yet to disclose the full information about the vehicle, here are some details about the soon-to-be-retailed model as seen on the homologation papers that the Land Transportation Office released.

Based on the aforementioned documents, the crossover measures:

Further, five-seater electrified sport utility vehicle will likely be retailed in two variants:

• GT (which could possibly be an all-wheel-drive trim)
• Premium (seemingly the RWD variation)

The same LTO papers revealed that the two models’ respective electric motors can deliver:

Also, the two options for the said nameplate will wear varying tire sizes — with the lower variation outfitted with 19-inch wheels in 225/55 tires, and the other, in 20-inch wheels with 245/45.
