Gas prices to spike up anew this week

Oil players in the Philippines are set to jack up the pricing of gasoline to mark the first week of April.

    Oil companies shall raise the pricing of gasoline by P0.45 per liter and reduce the price of diesel and kerosene by P0.60 per liter and P1.05 per liter, respectively.

  • When will the price movements take effect?

    The adjustments will be on April 2, 2024.

    • Based on their respective advisories, Caltex, Cleanfuel, Phoenix, Seaoil, and Unioil shall jack up the pricing of gasoline by P0.45 per liter. However, the aforementioned brands will cut down P0.60 per liter on diesel’s retail price.

    Aside from that, Caltex, Petron, and Seaoil will reduce the pump price of kerosene by P1.05 per liter.

    The changes shall take place as early as 12:01 a.m. tomorrow (April 2) on some brands.

    Last week, local players prices of gasoline went up by P2.20 per liter, diesel by P1.40 per liter, and kerosene by P1.30 per liter.
