As many predicted, the natural jungle of General Nakar became trickier as the area was previously devastated by Typhoon Karding (international name Noru). To make matters worse for the participants, a deluge was encountered during the course of the event.
The campers — who spent three days mingling and relaxing with like-minded individuals — started their journey on October 21 and received a warm welcome from General Nakar Mayor Esee Rozul.
Of the 25 groups that joined the event, Team Ironman Philippines emerged as the winner. The squad took home the grand prize worth P500,000 after completing the challenge in two hours, 17 minutes, and 29 seconds. Team La Union 1 and Team Giba 1 were second and third finishers respectively.

"Truly, this event perfectly resonates the essence of competition, camaraderie, and passion for overlanding and this lifestyle; that was our goal from the very beginning,” he added.
