Hino PH Eyes 5,000 Sales Mark by Year-End
The chairman of Hino Motors Philippines (HMP) expressed optimism on the company's sales performance for 2018, saying that it is eyeing to reach the 5,000-unit sales mark by year-end.
In an interview, HMP Chairman Vicente Mills, Jr. said that it is targeting to hit the 5,000-unit sales mark, following its 2017 sales performance, wherein they have sold around 4,000 units for the whole 12-month period.
Recently, HMP unveiled its latest latest lineup, which is now powered by Euro-4 compliant engines.
Mills attributed the eyed increasing sales figures of their refreshed product line with the growing economy as well as the with the 'Build, Build, Build' program of the government.
"With the Philippines’ aggressive infrastructure plan under the Duterte administration, the company sees continuous increase in trucking requirements, whether for brand-new trucks or for maintaining trucks," Mills shared. "The boom in infrastructure construction increases opportunities for transport businesses and truck and bus requirements over the next couple of years. The rise in domestic travel activities will also provide more impetus to the bus industry. Any increase in the movement of people will require the services of modern buses. Further, fleet replacement in compliance with Euro 4 and such requirements will translate into more sales."
