Honda PH exec sits as new MDPPA head

MANILA: The Motorcycle Development Program Participants Association Incorporated (MDPPA) has inducted Honda Philippines Incorporated’s Erwin Estrada as its new President.

    According to the association, Estrada’s term will focus on resilience and innovation within the Philippine motorcycle sector. 

    The induction of the organization’s new officers was held in Pasay City, under the theme “Moving Forward Beyond the Current Challenges, Sustaining Industry Leadership.” The ceremony was presided over by Department of Transportation Undersecretary Ramon Reyes, who also served as a keynote speaker for the important affair.

    “With the continued support of our members, the partnership and collaboration with government agencies and the trust of the public, I am confident that we can elevate our industry and contribute meaningfully to national progress, bringing the joy of mobility and comfort to every Filipino Family,” Estrada was quoted as saying.

    He also noted the MDPPA’s mandate by introducing a focus on active collaboration with both local and international automotive associations. 

    A highlight of this global outreach includes the MDPPA hosting the prestigious Federation of Asian Motorcycle Industries Conference in the first quarter of this year.

    With the reshuffling of the new officials finished, here are the executives from the major motorcycle brands in the country:

    Other instated officials during the event include Yamaha Motor Philippines Incorporated’s Toni Boi Acuesta for Marketing, Honda Philippines Incorporated’s Raymund Cristobal for Road Safety, Kawasaki Motor Philippines Corporation’s Richard Paul Natividad for Technical, as well as Suzuki Philippines Incorporated’s Attorney Ricardo Brazal for Government and MDPPA’s own Gilmar de Castro for Research and Planning.
