Hyundai Palisade Hybrid now made more sustainable

MANILA: Hyundai Motor Philippines (HMPH) has launched the Palisade Hybrid, now sold as the sole variant of the carmaker’s premium sport utility vehicle (SUV). 

The latest addition to HMPH’s lineup of hybrid automobiles stands as a bold expression of the brand’s commitment to “Progress for Humanity” and boasts significant upgrades from its predecessor, making it an excellent representation of the marque’s top-notch innovations and technologies. 

“This premium seven-seater redefines sophistication and sustainability, designed to cater to the modern Filipino who desires both refined luxury and future-ready technology,” the company wrote in a press release. 

Here is a quick look at its notable appointments: 

Bold, yet elegant

The Hyundai Palisade Hybrid boasts an elegant design that commands attention. 

At the fore is a modern-looking chrome grille with bold LED headlamps on each side. It shares a somewhat similar shape as the Hyundai Santa Fe — which also has a hybrid variant — due to its rather boxy dimensions. 

To its sides are unique-looking side mirrors with integrated turn signals. It also rocks 21-inch alloy wheels that somehow give Bentley vibes. 

From behind, the Hyundai Palisade Hybrid’s chrome daylight opening molding is noticeable. Likewise, its rear roof spoiler with a vertical light bar catches one’s eye. 

Particularly premium

The cabin of the Hyundai Palisade Hybrid is particularly premium with an abundance of leather upholstery and soft-touch trims inside the SUV. 

It gets an integrated 12.3-inch digital instrument display, which provides a vast screen where both the driver and passenger can access the vehicle’s functions. 

Also featured is a head-up display to keep the person behind the wheel in the know without taking his or her attention off the road. 

Other noteworthy features include the following: 

• Ambient mood lamp 
• Dual-swing multi console with UV-C sterilization 
• BOSE premium sound system

Performance

Under the bonnet of the Hyundai Palisade Hybrid is a 2.5-liter turbocharged hybrid engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.

The above powertrain system is accompanied by four drive modes, namely Auto, Mud, Sand, Snow. 

Pricing

The Hyundai Palisade Hybrid is priced at P3.98 million. 

It is available in four colors, which are Abyss Black Pearl, Ecotronic Gray Pearl, Creamy White Pearl, and Robust Emerald Pearl. 

Warranty-wise, the hybrid SUV gets five years or 200,000 kilometers (km). Battery warranty coverage is worth eight years or 160,000 km — whichever comes first.
