Hyundai PH’s Dream Center Offers 3 TESDA-Approved Auto Courses
Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), the official distributor of Hyundai cars in the Philippines, believes that education is one of the keys to a brighter future. As such, HARI opened a world-class training and educational hub dubbed as the Hyundai Dream Center Philippines (HDCP) last April 2018. HDCP offers vocational-technical automotive training programs to young Filipinos. HARI says the program aims to "broaden opportunities for underprivileged youth to begin productive careers in the automotive industry."
HDCP features three TESDA-certified courses that includes programs on vehicle repair and maintenance. The first batch of HARI’s training program features 45 scholars. These scholars are studying Hyundai vehicles' technology as well as proper handling of equipment and safety procedures in the workplace.
They will also undergo two months of on-the-job training with HARI's dealership network. Upon finishing the program, the graduating scholars can work for a Hyundai dealership in the country as Certified Technicians or Apprentice Technicians.
The HDCP is situated at the Hyundai Logistics Center in Calamba, Laguna. This Dream Center program is made possible through HARI's partnership with Hyundai Motor Group and Plan International, a global humanitarian organization. Hyundai has also established Dream Centers in Ghana, Indonesia, Cambodia, and Vietnam.
