Hyundai PH continues PUVMP efforts in Tacloban City 

Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI)  continues to grow its presence in the Visayas region after delivering units of its modern public utility vehicles in Tacloban City last month.

Through the Hyundai Trucks and Buses (HTB) Cebu dealership, HARI delivered 15 units of the HD50S Class 2 Modern Jeepney to GC Godie, Inc. Transport Cooperative.

According to the local distributor of the Korean vehicle manufacturer, the acquisition “serves as another achievement in Tacloban’s bid to accelerate its progress and a testament to Hyundai’s growing partnerships with major transport cooperatives across the country.”

The event succeeded the opening of the Global Dealership Space Identity (GDSI)-inspired HTB Cebu in mid-July.

“We are honored to serve communities in the Visayas, such as Tacloban City, pursuant of the government’s vision of a better, more sustainable transport system,” HTB Cebu President Edward Vincent Onglatco was quoted as saying.

The dealer executive assured that Hyundai would remain the Taclobanons’ “partner in every way” in the “new normal,” highlighting the provision of excellent maintenance service for the modern PUV.

Since last year, HARI has conducted a series of turnovers of its modern PUV offerings to transport groups all over the country. More than 100 Hyundai HD50S are now plying major thoroughfares nationwide, the distributor added.
