The paint scheme of the Hyundai Rebelle Rally Santa Cruz was designed in California by Hyundai Design North America. Exterior Design Manager Brad Arnold and Senior Graphic Designer Matt Marble worked on the livery worn by the Hyundai Rebelle Rally Santa Cruz.
Both Marble and Arnold blended the California surfing lifestyle with the motif of a custom bandana to create the off-road look for the compact pickup truck’s paint scheme. Additionally, the livery acknowledges the support of Bose, Falken Tires, Rally Innovations, Gear Offroad Wheels, Truxxx, and She Buys Travel, who all sponsored drivers — and automotive writers — Jill Ciminillo and Kristin Shaw.
The Hyundai Rebelle Rally Santa Cruz received minimal modifications, including off-road tires, skid plate, and lift kit. The modifications were led by Hyundai Motor America model line engineer Eric Buxton.
The 2022 Rebelle Rally will run for eight days, from today until October 15. Here, Hyundai-owned Kia is also vying for victory with a similarly subtly modified 2023 Kia Sportage X-Pro.
